Arch Catering Supplies also offer a professional site survey for the equipment you are looking to purchase, this is carried out by fully qualified engineers from our service and maintenance company Arch Catering and Refrigeration Ltd.
Initial Survey
The engineer will ensure the specification size and the equipment matches your commercial kitchen requirements. For example, they will ensure that the location for the Oven Range will be within 1 meter of the mains supply and will also check the measurements of the unit, to ensure it falls under the legal requirements for extraction and fits within the location needed. All services will be checked, i.e. Gas, Electric, Water along with the kitchen meeting all standard requirements.
The engineer will make sure the unit can be delivered to a sufficient area and the unit can fit through doors and hallways. Will check if any stairs need to be negotiated. All these aspects need to be taken into consideration.
The chef / maintenance staff will be advised by our team if additional work is required prior to installation and will advise what is required and arrange for a later date of installation once the correct services are in place.
If for any reason a site survey needs to be rearranged, we will require no less than 24 hours notice.
Installation
Once the survey has been carried out, we will arrange an installation date for the unit.
The engineer will check the unit once again before starting the install. The engineer will carry out and test the unit to ensure the unit is running correctly and is in line with the manufacturer’s guidelines. All documentation i.e. Gas Safety certification are then issued. Please keep this documentation for your files.
For peace of mind, let our fully qualified engineers manage the installation of your kitchen equipment.
